WEBINAR:
DENSITY FROM SEISMIC INVERSION: A CASE STUDY FROM SOUTH AUSTRALIA
IKON'S MARCH WEBINAR SERIES

This one hour webinar will be presented on the 10th of March at 2pm (Kuala Lumpur/Perth) with local experts available to discuss the unique needs and challenges in the region via a live Q&A.

Boon Webinar - Picture oneWhat we'll cover:

A pre-stack simultaneous inversion over the Mid-Jurassic interval in the Cooper-Eromanga Basin, South Australia produced predictions of elastic properties (correlations >80%) for acoustic impedance (AI), shear impedance (SI) and density (Rho). Direct and accurate estimation of density from seismic AVO is expected to be difficult for many reasons. In this case, the correlation of density in this case is surprisingly higher than the other elastic properties. This webinar reveals how a good density prediction is achieved and whether it can be trusted.
